:: About Smateria Rik(o)rea Collection :: Amongst the tons of secondhand clothes and materials reaching Cambodia in enormous white bales, Smateria discovered a series of magnificent skirts from Korea. Adding to the portfolio of using sustainable and ethically sourced materials, the Rik(o)rea Collection is a a new addition to the range with this skirts are now transformed into a line of accessories combining the softness and lightness of this material with the strength of recycled leather seats for the base. Each one is handmade in Cambodia under fair trade principles. Distrinctive & unique, the recycled nature of the materials gives each of the gorgeous items it's own individual identity to the design. :: About Smateria Fair Trade :: Smateria is a new and rapidly expanding design house that creates sustainable bags, accessories and home decor items from recycled or repurporse source material. All products are handmade by Cambodian craftsmen and women employed in line with fair trade principles. Smateria is not an NGO but a self-financed organisation currently employing 65 permanent staffs and around 15 outsourced families.
